Thanks to the Friends of the Library and your generous donations during the Give Big Lexington campaign, funds have been raised for landscaping, allowing patrons to enjoy the library's outdoor spaces. We are grateful for your ongoing support in maintaining the aesthetic appeal of this City landmark.

We extend our gratitude to the remarkable organizations that contributed to the success of the Bike Rodeo and Summer Safety event. Our 4th Annual event was greatly enhanced by the generous donation of helmets from Lexington Regional Health Center, ensuring the safety of children in our community by preventing head injuries. We are also deeply thankful to Dawson Public Power for their informative demonstration on electrical safety, the police department for their guidance on safe biking practices, and the YMCA for promoting healthy body activities. Additionally, we appreciate Pathway Bank and Keep Lexington Beautiful for their outstanding activities and important information. Wonderful time with the children and their families of our beautiful community.

The "Summer Safety Workshop & Bike Rodeo" is a community-focused initiative designed to promote literacy, safety and outdoor activities among children during the summer months. Hosted by the Lexington Public Library in collaboration with wonderful community organizations, this event underscores the importance of safety and education. Participants have the opportunity to engage in bike activities, electric safety, and physical activity is designed to improve their cycling skills and safety awareness. An essential feature of this event is the distribution of free helmets donated by the Lexington Regional Health Center, underscoring a commitment to child safety and accident prevention.

The opening event for "Unearth A Story" was a resounding success, with both children and adults enjoying an engaging experience of learning and interacting with dinosaurs. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Curt Strutz from Strutz Entertainment for accepting our invitation and bringing excitement and adventure to the families in our community.
