Congratulations to Rodney Wolken, LLRTC Auto Technology Instructor and Lex R-V Tennis Coach, on receiving the MABC Beyond the Game Award!

MABC is excited to announce a new award named in honor of two of Lexington’s beloved coaches, Coach Rector and Coach Beck.

The Minutemen Athletic Booster Club Coach Rector and Coach Beck Beyond the Game Award will be presented annually to a coach who partners with MABC to invest in our athletes, LHS and the Lexington community, whoo has passion and commitment beyond the game, making a lasting impact on and off the field/court.

This award is to honor the great legacy of both Coach Rector and Coach Beck, while inspiring the current & future coaches of LHS.

The inaugural recipient of this award is a Coach who MABC can always count on to be at any function/fundraiser we have, who is always eager and willing to help us in any way, most of the time with a big smile on his face. He is also a great coach, who cares deeply about his athletes and who has invested in and grown his program over the last several years. We are proud to announce the first winner of the Beyond the Game award is Tennis Coach Rodney Wolken.

We are also happy to present Coach Wolken and the tennis program with a check to go towards refinishing the tennis courts and installing new fencing around them.

Thank you Coach Wolken for all you do for MABC, for your athletes and for LHS.

Lex R-V Week of August 24th

Lex R-V kicked off the year with our entire team!
The week started with breakfast, recognitions, and a keynote by Mr Schmidt, LMS principal on Tuesday.
The band and cheerleaders welcomed the staff and local businesses provided information and made connections with staff.
Staff attended professional development break out sessions and building level professional development the rest of the week.
Thank you to the Lex PD for taking staff through annual Active Shooter Training.
It was a great week to be a Minutemen!
We can't wait to see students and their families at Open House and the Back to School bash tonight!
