Two new forms for business owners to request assistance

At June's meeting, the Lexington Economic Development Corporation approved new forms to make it easier for business owners to apply for assistance. We hope these will reduce the time needed to prepare, consider, and vote on proposed projects. We'd like to continue improving these forms; we welcome your feedback!

The revised Exterior Improvement Grant application form:

This form replaces the previous "Small Business Grant" form. Now called the "Exterior Improvement Grant" application, this form makes clear that this program applies only to exterior improvements. As of this writing, we have not changed any of the rules of this program - only the form. The program still funds up to $2,500 of permanent, non-roof exterior improvements, at most once per year, to a business located within the city limits.

The new Project Funding Grant application form:

This form, called the "Project Funding Grant" application, provides a way to request assistance for the kinds of projects that the EDC may legally support. This form summarizes the wide but specific range of projects we can fund, and requests the basic information needed to file for them.
