In the event of heavy rain or lightning that there will NOT be meals at the parks, but meals can still be picked up at the Liberal Memorial Library or the Rec Center if we have to leave the parks due to weather.

There will be a parent meeting for the Liberal High School Football Team's 2026 season today at 6 PM in "The Big House"

We are excited to invite all parents of Liberal High School football players to join us for an important parent meeting on Monday, June 1st at The Big House (Main Gym).

Come hear about the plans for the summer, upcoming expectations, team activities, and much more as we prepare for an exciting season ahead. This is a great opportunity to meet the coaching staff, ask questions, and stay informed about everything happening within the Redskin Football program.

USD 480 Summer Meals begin today!
These are available to ANY child 18 years old or younger.
Meals are served from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Mondays through Thursdays at five locations. One meal per child per day and child must be present.

Light Park - 1100 N. Kansas
Blue Bonnet Park - 1101 W. 8th
Liberal Memorial Library - 519 N. Kansas
Youth Recreation Center - 950 S. Grant
Mary Frame Park - 200 E. Pancake

In observance of Memorial Day, USD 480 will be closed Monday, May 25, 2026.

We will return to normal summer hours on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

USD 480 pre-enrollment for the 2026-2027 school year closes at the end of the day tomorrow!

Check your email or use this link https://power1.usd480.net to pre-enroll before May 22nd. This will save you time during enrollment week at the end of July. Parents can also use the PowerSchool Mobile App to pre-enroll by clicking More > Forms > Enrollment.

IMPORTANT: Application for Free/Reduced meals for the 2026-2027 school year will NOT be available until AFTER July 1st. Any Free/Reduced application submitted before July 1st will not be considered for the 2026-2027 school year.

📚 Interventionist | Meadowlark Elementary School📗

“While serving as an interventionist, Mrs. Classen continually takes on additional responsibilities that positively impact students, staff, and the overall school climate. Kris serves in multiple leadership roles throughout the building, including Building Union Representative, member of the Culture Committee, Behavior Team, Crisis Team, and 504 Coordinator. In each of these roles, she demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and a genuine commitment to supporting others. She consistently steps in wherever needed and approaches every challenge with a calm, solutions-focused mindset. Her work as the 504 Coordinator ensures students receive the accommodations and support necessary for success, while her involvement on the Behavior and Crisis Teams helps create a safe, caring, and responsive learning environment for all students. In addition, her contributions to the Culture Committee help strengthen staff morale and build positive relationships throughout the school community. Kris is respected by administration, staff, and students because of her kindness, strong work ethic, and willingness to serve others without seeking recognition.
