Have a little extra time this summer? Looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community?

The Liberty Center Public Library is looking for volunteers to help with our Summer Reading Program! Volunteers are welcome every Tuesday afternoon in June and July from 2:00–3:30 PM. Whether you can help once, a few times, or every Tuesday, your time and support will make a difference in creating a fun and memorable experience for local children and families.

We're also seeking volunteers for our exciting Summer Reading Bash on Wednesday, July 22, from 5:00–7:00 PM. This special event is a wonderful way to celebrate a summer filled with reading, learning, and fun!

No matter how much time you can give, we would love to have you join us. For more information or to sign up, please contact the library.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out today to help place the “Donated by the Friends of the Library” stickers on the Summer Reading books. Your time, teamwork, and willingness to lend a hand were truly appreciated!

There’s an old saying, “Many hands make light work,” and today was a perfect example of that. Because of all of you, the task was completed quickly and with plenty of smiles and fellowship along the way.

We are so grateful for the wonderful support of our volunteers and community members who continue to help make our library such a special place. Thank you again for your generosity and helping spirit!

A huge thank you to the amazing Friends of the Library volunteers who came together to package 750 giveaway bags for our June Summer Reading Program! 📚☀️

Dear Members,

As many of you know, the Liberty Center Library’s Summer Reading Program will kick off on Tuesday, June 2nd, and continue every Tuesday through July 21st. This exciting summer tradition brings children into the library for mornings and afternoons filled with reading, learning, creativity, and fun.

To help make the program a success, volunteers are needed to assist the library staff during the sessions from 9:15 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Whether you are available to help for just one session or several throughout the summer, your time and support would be greatly appreciated. Please contact the library staff if you are interested in volunteering.

The Friends of the Library are also proud to support the program this year by providing all drinks, snacks, and a special book for each child participating. We are excited to help make this summer memorable for the children in our community.

To prepare for the kickoff, we will be stuffing the goody bags on Monday, May 18th at 10:30 a.m. We would love to have extra helping hands, so please join us if you are available.

Thank you for your continued support of the Liberty Center Library and its programs. Together, we help inspire a love of reading and learning in our community’s children.

Exciting news for our community! 📚✨

The Friends of the Liberty Center Library have generously donated a SECOND 3D printer to the library! This amazing addition will help expand opportunities for creativity, learning, and hands-on innovation for patrons of all ages.

From school projects and STEM learning to creative designs and new inventions, this new printer means even more possibilities for our community to explore the world of 3D printing.
