Way to go y'all!

📺 Hope House is coming to Austin PBS!

Important Note, the show will have other topics first. Hope House will most likely be at the end of the show.

Tomorrow night, Austin PBS KLRU’s InSight will share the 60-year story of Hope House with our community.

You’ll see some familiar faces, hear the story of our founder, Rose, and discover how a simple commitment made six decades ago continues today: creating forever homes and forever families for kids with profound intellectual disabilities.

And you’ll get a glimpse of where that story is headed next as we prepare to build more homes and make room for more kids who need them.

Watch on Austin PBS:
📺 Thursday, August 27 — 7:00 PM and 10:30 PM
📺 Sunday — 9:30 AM
📺 Monday — 4:30 PM
The episode will also be available on the PBS app after it airs.

This is an incredible opportunity for more people in Austin to discover Hope House and the kids who call it home.

Will you help us spread the word?
Share this post and invite someone to watch with you. 💙

You'll love the flavors at crazyfalafels, located on CR 214 in the food truck court.

The garlic dip? The most amazing dip ever. 😍 I can't wait to go back with my family and try even more kebobs!

Steak, chicken, lamb, veggies, gyros - not only are these recipes delicious, but they are family recipes handed down for hundreds of years!

Nick Ishak and his daughter, Kylie, opened Crazy Falafels to bring "the healthiest and most fresh Mediterranean cuisine" to Liberty Hill. Special Armenian and Lebanese spices and marinades make these dishes uniquely satisfying.

If you've never tried Mediterranean food before, Nick and Kylie will help you find your new favorite flavors. They are excited to serve our community and spread love via their food. Crazy Falafels is open from Wednesday through Saturday.

Can you guess where these family recipes come from?

Noubar (Nick) Ishak and his daughter, Kylie, recently opened crazyfalafels in Liberty Hill. Their mission is to serve you the healthiest and most fresh Mediterranean cuisine!

But, their cuisine is extra-special for another reason. These are family recipes going back hundreds of years! Nick's ancestors are from Armenia, and his great-grandparents escaped to Lebanon during the crisis of 1915.

These recipes are dear to Nick's heart, and he is excited for Liberty Hill to relish in their flavors.

Before moving to Texas, Nick owned a Mediterranean restaurant in Pasadena, California. He felt honored to be chosen as the best Mediterranean restaurant for 8 years in a row!

The Ishak family moved to our community in 2020, after visiting friends and falling in love with Texas a couple of years previous.

After a few years of working for a boss, Nick desired to work for himself again. His daughter, Kylie, had grown up in his previous restaurant. (She literally had a crib in the back!) She knew the recipes and loved their history too - so Nick asked her to jump into a new adventure with him.

The two of them built Crazy Falafels from scratch (just like their recipes). "By the grace of God, we got it opened this year," he smiled.

They are excited to bring fresh Mediterranean options to Liberty Hill - kabobs, pita bread, falafels, gyros, and marinated veggies to town. "Real food, real ingredients, and bold Mediterranean taste in every bite."
