For this week's 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, "The Liberty Lake Deep Dive" podcast presents the recollections about that day from the employees inside Liberty Lake City Hall -- how they found out about the news, and what they remember from that time. Hear about area classrooms being different that week, an experience of clearing out from a building, and an uncertainty about a missing relative.

🔥 Preparedness starts with knowing what you’re preparing for.

Wildfire and smoke, severe weather, power outages and other emergencies can affect Liberty Lake and the surrounding region.

This week’s preparedness challenge: Take 10 minutes to identify the emergencies that could affect your household. Think about how each could impact your home, transportation, pets, medications and other essential needs.

Knowing your risks makes it much easier to make a good plan.

Attention Liberty Lake Hometown Heroes honorees, sponsors, and supporters:

We had at least 28 of the flags damaged or missing since the last windstorms. We have ordered new flags and hardware and will be replacing them as soon as they arrive. Some of the damage may have come from the use of a new style of flag to replace the originals. We will not be using them again.

We will keep you informed, but expect 7 to 10 days before we receive the new flags and hardware.
