Two Liberty Police Department officers, including an LPD K9 unit, responded to the 300 block of Meadow Lane following a report of a disturbance involving a firearm and a battery.
During the investigation, officers determined that a handgun had allegedly been fired outside the entrance of the apartment building and that a separate battery had occurred resulting in injury. Following further investigation, Liberty Police officers recovered the handgun believed to have been involved in the incident.
Tyler Beach was arrested on preliminary felony charges including Criminal Recklessness and Battery Resulting in Moderate Bodily Injury. Beach was evaluated by Reid Health EMS personnel at the scene and was later transported to the Union County Jail, where he was booked without incident. The individuals involved in the battery were also evaluated by EMS personnel and released at the scene.

As with all criminal cases, the charges listed above are allegations. Beach is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
