Did you Know...

Under Missouri Statute Section 115.427, RSMo, any person seeking to vote in a public election must establish their identity and eligibility to vote at the polling place (or when voting absentee in person) by presenting an acceptable form of personal photo identification to election officials.

Acceptable forms of identification are Missouri Driver's License, Missouri Non-Driver's License, US Military ID, and a US Passport.

This spring two members of our Clay County Election Board team spoke with over 560+ Clay County High School students to learn how to register to vote, how to absentee vote when away at college or military, as well as information on becoming an election judge. Thank you to Kearney High School, St. Pius X High School, Liberty High School, and Excelsior Springs Job Corps! Your students are incredible and the future is bright here in Clay County, Missouri!

Today we celebrate the Show-Me State's own Harry S. Truman — the 33rd President and the only Missourian to ever reach the White House!

🗳️ Fun fact: Truman's very first step into public service was winning a local election as a Jackson County judge in 1922. He didn't start at the top — he started at the county level, just like the elections we administer every day.

From Clay County to the country — it all starts with civic participation.
