I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Missouri AFL-CIO in this primary election.

As a proud union member and retired IBEW electrician, I understand the value of good-paying jobs, safe workplaces, and the power of collective bargaining. Thank you to Missouri's labor leaders for their trust and support.

I look forward to fighting alongside working families and organized labor in Jefferson City to protect workers' rights, strengthen our communities, and build an economy that works for everyone.

Missouri Amendment 1 helps support our state parks, historic sites, clean water, and soil conservation programs using a long-standing existing tax that Missouri voters have renewed for decades.

On August 4, voters will decide whether to continue that funding for another 10 years.

The small tax, 1/10 of 1% (1¢ on a $10 purchase), helps
✅ preserve free access to state parks
✅ maintain and improve trails, facilities, and historic sites
✅support conservation work that reduces soil erosion and protects water quality, especially on agricultural land
✅ provide a stable dedicated funding stream rather than relying on annual budget decisions.

If the amendment fails, the tax will expire in 2028. State parks and conservation programs would lose a major funding source.

Remember to check your voter registration and VOTE on AUGUST 4th!

I'm honored to be endorsed by Jess Piper.

"I’ve lived in Missouri’s 6th District for more than two decades, and for most of that time, Sam Graves has been an absent Congressman. While raising millions from out-of-state donors, he rarely showed up for the people he was elected to serve.

Now, after years of neglect, he’s stepping down. I won’t pretend I’m sorry to see him go.

Over the past year, as I’ve traveled Missouri talking with rural Democrats, one name kept coming up…Josh Smead.

I first heard Josh speak over a year ago, and I’ve watched him since in town halls across the district. He listens. He shows up. And every time, he gets sharper and stronger. He has a deep understanding of what our district actually needs.
