The S. Commerce Community Yard Sale on Saturday, June 13th from 8 AM-1 PM is coming up, and we wanted to share a quick road closure update.

Road closures will begin at 12:00 AM on Saturday, June 13th, to allow for event setup. The affected areas will remain closed throughout the day on Saturday and will reopen at approximately 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 13th.

Sarlin Park and Depot Street will remain open for parking.

Any vehicles remaining on S. Commerce at the time of closure may be towed at the owner’s expense.

We appreciate your understanding.

National Police Week is May 15–21, and this week we’re shining the spotlight on the incredible men and women of the Liberty Police Department.

Day in and day out, our officers show up ready to serve, protect, and support this community no matter the situation. They work long hours, respond in difficult moments, and continue to give their all to keep Liberty safe.

Their commitment, sacrifice, courage, and heart deserve to be recognized not just this week, but every single day.

Thank you to the officers of the Liberty Police Department for your service, your dedication, and the pride you bring to this city. Liberty is stronger because of you.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Greenwood Police Department, the family of Officer DJ Keller, and all who knew and loved him during this incredibly difficult time.

Officer Keller tragically lost his life in the line of duty on May 11, 2026, while faithfully serving his community. We honor his service, sacrifice, and commitment to protecting others.

Please keep everyone affected in your thoughts as they navigate this heartbreaking loss.

Attention: Owner of the red 2011 dodge Avenger that has been parked at the gymnasium for several days.

Please contact the Liberty Parks and recreation department immediately regarding your vehicle. If the vehicle is not removed from the parking lot by Tuesday, May 12th, 2026, it will be towed at the owner's expense.
