This week, the Liberty Police Department proudly recognizes and celebrates the dedicated professionals during National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.

Our telecommunicators are the calm voice in the chaos, the first first responders. They are the unseen heroes who answer the call, gather critical information, and ensure that help is on the way when it matters most. Their professionalism, compassion, and quick thinking save lives every single day.

Thank you all for everything you do!

Liberty Police Department would like to inform our community that there is no current threat at Liberty High School as of April 9, 2026. We have received false reports indicating that an incident occurred at LHS; however, these reports are not accurate. The situation in question took place in Montgomery County and is not related to Liberty High School.

Splendora High School was placed on a secure hold after a student and staff member got into an apparent altercation, officials said.
