The Liberty Community Center’s annual Maintenance Week is coming up on September 8 to 13. This allows for deep cleaning of the locker rooms, draining and cleaning of the pools, waxing of the court in the gym and other miscellaneous maintenance needs.

Please note the following closures and schedule changes:
--New flooring is being installed from the Gymnasium to the Weight Room! The weight room will be closed during this time.
--No Group Exercise classes will run.
--The pools, hot tub, sauna, gymnasium, locker rooms and Child Watch will be closed.
--The Silver Center will be closed Tuesday, September 8, but will reopen Wednesday, September 9.

The Wellness Center, lobby and lobby restrooms will remain open. Group Exercise classes and Child Watch will return to their regular schedules on Monday, September 14.

Our staff will be working hard to make sure the entire facilities is clean, staff and top-notch! Thank you for your patients as we work to clean and improve the spaces!

One of our Meals on Wheels recipients, Madeliene, not only received a hot, nutritious meal, but a beautiful mini concert, right in her living room! 🎸

When our volunteer Lexi brought her daughter Parker to deliver meals, they decided to grab a guitar in hopes to bring a smile to some recipients' faces.

Madeliene who loved the music and visit, later told us the meals help her financially but the visits are what truly sustain her. Madeliene noted that a teenager (Parker) could be anywhere else this summer but she chose to volunteer and bring joy to a neighbor through music.

Moments like this remind us that a simple visit can brighten an entire week! Thank you to Lexi, Parker and all our amazing volunteers who bring so much love to our community through connection! ✨

Update - Stocksdale Park will be CLOSED today until approximately 5 p.m. until crews are done repaving the front entrance area. The crew decided to close as there was so much traffic in and out of the park! Thank you for your understanding as we work to improve this space.

As we continue to roll through our 2026 planned Park updates, TOMORROW the parking lot by the Dog Park will be repaved!

The Dog Park will remain open during the repave process, which will start around 7 a.m. You can still bring your furry friends by to play, but just be aware that crews will be working in the parking area in front of the gates.

We are thrilled to finally check this much-needed project off our list as we continue improvements throughout our Liberty Parks & Rec facilities! Thank you so much for your patience as we make these upgrades better for all humans and pups! 🐶❤️

The Glow in the Park 5K has partnered with Veterinary Center of Liberty to sell bright dog bandanas for your pups to sport at the race on Saturday, September 12! See our little friend Judy below modeling the smallest size!

There are 4 sizes available and all bandanas can be purchased for $5 at the Liberty Community Center Welcome Desk or the Veterinary Center of Liberty. All the money raised goes straight to the Liberty Parks & Rec Foundation's Annual Scholarship program.

Meet some of our amazing certified Personal Trainers at the Liberty Community Center (LCC)!

--You may have seen Brooklyn around the Wellness Center! She has done a great job as a Personal Trainer, Wellness Coach and now a Speed & Agility Coach. She told us the most rewarding part of her job is hearing clients share with her that they feel stronger in their everyday lives (even after only a few weeks of meeting with her!).

--Welcome Joel, a new Personal Trainer who has hit the ground running! Throughout his fitness career, Joel has enjoyed seeing the progress of each person's fitness journey and finds it rewarding to help individuals make small changes in their lifestyle through exercise and nutrition.

--Say "hello" to Alex! He has Personal Trained for a few years and joined the LCC team recently. A favorite memory he has throughout his career is of a client who was consistently coming into the gym, working her tail off, and after about week 6 or 7 on her customized plan (that he created), she was able to lose 11lbs!

Thanks to all of our Personal Trainers and all they do to improve the health and overall wellbeing of their clients! Liberty is lucky to have such dedicated trainers who care about the community.
