Naacp44ac Chapter 44AC of the NAACP in Missouri. Created by the residents of South Central Correctional Center in Licking, MO.

The NAACP-Branch is dedicated to the Mission and Visions of our National Constitution & Bylaws to ensure the equality of rights and the elimination of racial hatred. Branch is a group of men who realize the need to not just educate but advocate social, political and economic change. We are proactive and look forward to gaining collective strength through the Unification, Organization a

nd Practical Application of you-- the people. Since 1909, the NAACP has paved roads and opened doors to Education, Equality, Justice, Political, Social, and Rights. Now we're in another type of struggle that calls for Reformation. Now is the time for us to step up with determination, become creative and challenge key players to work with us to achieve our goals on local, state and national levels. A key aspect of our proposed strategy is to focus on getting reform advocates involved. YOU are those advocates we need to move forward in coalition for reforms to eradicate the mass incarceration that is prevalent in Missouri today. We focus on issues of Mandatory Minimum Sentences, Life Without Parole, Non-Parole/Non-Violent Cases, Juveniles with Life Without Parole, Gerrymandering, Geriatric Prisoners and other areas of concern that not only affect us here at Branch , but you and your incarcerated loved ones statewide. The acronym for the "NAACP" is no longer just the "National Association for the Advancement of Colored People" but is inclusive to the "National Association for the Advancement of Convicted Prisoners." Each day longer that we spend incarcerated, we endure tampering of the mind, having long term effects that are worse than any torture of the body. We Must and Do continue in the struggle of rectifying the injustices that plague the judicial system. Our environment, economy, communities, and most importantly, family structure/relations have and still continue to suffer from the mass incarceration and warehousing of your loved ones. As proactive members of the NAACP, we ask that you pledge to become members of The Oldest, The Largest, The Most Feared Civil Rights Organization in The World!
