None of the catch basins nor storm drains in Ligonier Township go to a sewer plant for treatment. If you dump something down a catch basin, it will end up on a neighbor's property or in a creek. Please help keep our waterways clean!

Ligonier Township's cardboard and paper recycling dumpsters are open and available. They were emptied this morning, May 14.

On this day, we honor the memory of Lieutenant Eric Eslary, who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our community. Repeating what we posted almost exactly a year ago: Please stop stealing our street signs. At best, this is an inconvenience that costs hundreds of taxpayer dollars to purchase and install replacements. At worst, someone will die.

The Harvey Road bridge is OPEN.

Work on the bridge will continue for another couple of weeks. That work can be completed with the road and bridge opened. Please be careful traveling through the area as it remains an active work zone.

Ligonier Township's cardboard and paper recycling dumpsters are OPEN. They were emptied on April 21.

If you have other large items to dispose of, Ligonier Township's annual dumpster day event is this Saturday, April 25. From 8:00 am to noon. Township residents only. Details can be found on our website, ligoniertownship.com

Ligonier Beach is open

The cardboard and paper recycling dumpsters remain CLOSED. We do not have an estimated date on when they may be emptied. We contacted the vendor Monday, April 6. We had hoped they would have been emptied by now.

At the April 14, 2026 Board of Supervisors meeting, the board unanimously approved opening the property to the public. Enjoy, and be safe.
