The Harnett County Schools Facebook Fan Page is provided for the school district community by the HCS Central Office. To protect the privacy and rights of HCS staff and students, negative or critical information will not be tolerated. The page administrators will review postings. We ask that you observe a few guidelines in the spirit of creating and maintaining a friendly community. We will not le
ave posts that:
1. Easily identify students and/or staff in defamatory, abusive, or generally negative terms.
2. Contain profanity or defamatory, libelous, offensive or demeaning comments. This includes remarks that are racist, homophobic and sexist as well as those that contain obscenities or are sexually explicit.
3. Do not show proper consideration for others’ privacy or are considered likely to offend or provoke others.
4. Break the law or encourage others to do so are not permitted. This includes respecting copyright and fair use laws. If you are talking about somebody else’s work, reference this or the person, and where possible include a link.
5. Are spam!– i.e. repeatedly posting the same comment or comments that are simply advertising/promoting a service or product. The page administrators reserve the right to remove any comments at any time, for any reason.
