Last night we had the pleasure of training with our mutual aid partners Summerville Bunnlevel Fire and Rescue on vehicle extrication. Members practiced working with equipment from both departments, helping us maintain interoperability on these time critical incidents.

We would like to thank instructor Todd Bane for coming out and leading training.

As we see new members join, inevitably we lose old ones. Brian Moss joined us as a volunteer in February of 2010, a veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, he rose to the rank of shift Lieutenant and a dependable, meticulous leader. Sadly Brian has found employment closer to home and his growing family. We wish Brian the best in all his future endeavors, don’t forget us and please come by when you’re in the area.

Firefighter Brian "The Grillmaster" Moss. Serving since Feb 2010. Iraq war veteran. Firefighter II, EMT, Haz-Mat Operations, department driver/operator. Brian was hired full time 2017.

Austin has been a huge asset to the department by attending training, responding on calls, and working on his state certification all while he still attends his college courses. 🚒 High Fire Danger: While the burn ban has been lifted, high fire danger is back for Tuesday and Wednesday across most of the state. Hot, dry conditions, with some lighter to moderate winds, will keep fire danger high across the state, along with soil drying.

Humidity levels ramp up Thursday into the weekend along with increasing showers/storm chances at least in hit or miss fashion so after Wednesday the fire danger should decrease again.
