Join us for a First Day Hike to start 2026 in nature!

Raven Rock Rockin’ Geology First Day Hike
Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026
10–11 am

Start the new year in rock-solid fashion on a geology and ecology hike along the Raven Rock Loop Trail, as we explore the park's unique geology. We will start at the trailhead next to the picnic shelter and walk to the top of the cliffs at a leisurely pace.

--Dress in layers for the weather
--Bring water and a snack
--Wear sturdy shoes—trail surfaces include gravel, dirt, and uneven terrain

After the guided hike, you’re welcome to continue exploring on your own— by going down the stairs to the base of the cliffs or continuing down the Raven Rock Loop Traill to the overlook and to view the mighty rapids of the Fish Traps.
