The Village of Lima Mourns Trustee Jonathan Stills

With heavy hearts, we share the loss of our friend, husband, father, and colleague, Trustee Jonathan Stills. His deep passion for the Honeoye Falls–Lima community was evident in every endeavor he undertook. Known for his warm smile and genuine kindness, Jonathan embodied the spirit of service, connection, and compassion.

Through his “Love Leads Us” organization, Jonathan fostered unity and care, leaving a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew him. His recent election to the Lima Village Board of Trustees reflected his unwavering commitment to public service. During his time on the board, Jonathan contributed fresh ideas, thoughtful perspectives, and an energy that enriched our community and will be deeply remembered.

Fundraising efforts to support Jonathan’s family are being coordinated by the Rotary Clubs of the HFL community.

On behalf of the Village of Lima, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Stills family, his many friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. May we honor Jonathan’s memory by carrying forward his spirit of love, service, and community.

Lima EMS is looking for daytime drivers.

If you live or work in Lima and could be on call in case of emergency, please consider volunteering.

If you own a business in Lima, please consider if you could spare an employee for a few hours to be available when an ambulance call comes in.

All training is completed on site and there is no minimum hour requirement. Drivers are notified via cell phone if a call comes in and then respond to the ambulance base.

Drivers need to be able to help lift and move patients as well as talk on the radio and drive the ambulance.

If this sounds like something you would be interested in learning more about, contact Chief Rose at [email protected] or call 585-624-2221 and leave a message.

Dear Village Residents:

I wanted to reach out to all Village residents to make you aware that the Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Health are requiring municipalities that supply residents with water to complete a Lead and Copper Water Service Line Inventory. We have begun the process and will be sending out letters street by street to complete this program.

Once you get the letter, please contact me to schedule an appointment. We will then send one of the Village DPW employees to your house to do a visual inspection of your water line right before the water meter where it enters your house. Generally this is in the basement. The employee will fill out the information required, and the inspection should take approximately 10 minutes to complete.

If you are home Monday through Thursday between 7am and 3pm and wish to have your inspection completed ahead of time, please call me to make an appointment and we will remove you from the mailing list. This will help to speed up the process and help in completing this required program. I can be reached at (585) 370-7143.

Thank you,

Ben Luft
DPW Supervisor
