Allen County Children Services

Allen County Children Services "Protecting Children...Strengthening Families" The agency offers support to many families to help them keep their children safe in their own homes.

Allen County Children Services is the agency mandated by Ohio law to provide protective services to the children of our county. When child abuse and/or neglect are placing children at risk, temporary custody and sometimes permanent custody, may become necessary. Every day we assess reports of abuse and neglect, provide ongoing services and collaborate with other social service organizations in Allen County to meet the needs of our community's most vulnerable children.

As we honor Juneteenth, we celebrate freedom, resilience and the power of community.
One meaningful way to make a lasting impact is by opening your heart and home to children who need safety, stability and love. Becoming a foster parent isn’t about perfection—it’s about offering support, guidance and the chance for a child to thrive.
This Juneteenth, let’s carry forward the spirit of hope and empowerment. If you’ve ever considered fostering, now is a beautiful time to learn more. Together, we can help create the future every child deserves.
If you’re ready to take the first step, reach out—we’d love to share more. ❤️ We will be at the Juneteenth festival tomorrow in downtown Lima with a table full of information and staff ready to answer your questions. You also can call us at 419-227-8590 or visit AllenCSB.com for more information.
