Today, our community comes together to remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Memorial Day is more than the unofficial start of summer—it is a time to pause, reflect, and honor those whose sacrifice made our freedoms possible.

In a small town like Lima, we understand the importance of community, service, and looking out for one another. These values were exemplified by those who answered the call to serve and never returned home. Their sacrifice reminds us that the freedoms we enjoy and the community we cherish were secured through extraordinary courage and selflessness.

As neighbors gather today at ceremonies, parades, family cookouts, and around kitchen tables, let us take a moment to remember the fallen, honor their families, and reflect on the responsibility we all share to build a stronger, more united community worthy of their sacrifice.

From all of us at the Town of Lima, we wish everyone a meaningful Memorial Day and extend our deepest gratitude to those who gave everything for our nation.

Happy New Year Lima! There will be a power outage for all of Lima on January 6th from 7:30AM to 4:30 PM. Yes, the repairs are critical and scheduling them like this will avoid a 2 or more day outage during storm conditions. Here are some tips:

Call your neighbors now to make sure they know

Test your standby Generator now

Charge your phones

Purchase batteries for your flashlights

Manage your food in coolers outside

DO NOT run your generator in the garage

Help your neighbors get to the warming shelter at Lima Ambulance

Take a day trip

Test your wood stove now
