Limestone was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in front of the Jonesborough Flea Market. Upon arrival, there was one patient with injuries. Crews were able to respond within minutes because of the newly staffed station across the street. Thankful for only minor injuries. This evening we were dispatched to a house fire with fire showing upon arrival. The fire started on the side porch and extended into the small attic space quickly before the owner noticed. The fire was pushed by the winds and quickly spread throughout the entire attic of the house. Crews made many aggressive attacks both interior and exterior to extinguish the stubborn fire. Thankfully there were no injuries and the family made it out even though losing their house and belongings.

Training is critical to strengthening our protection to our community. Last night crews gathered to refresh and learn new techniques for rescue, hose handling and water supply. Early this morning crews were dispatched to a structure fire in Telford. Crews from the newly opened station arrived quickly finding fire on the front porch extending into the living room. Fire was contained to the front porch, and living room area. Second due and third due companies were from Nolichuckey Valley Volunteer Fire Department and Jonesborough Fire Department.
