🎓 Juniors & Seniors — Start Early College This Fall!

Taft 7–12 juniors and seniors have an opportunity to earn college credit and high school credit while still in high school through the Oregon Coast Community College Early College Program!

Eligible students can take "one Early College course per term tuition-free" and begin building their college transcript before graduating from Taft.

Fall In-Person Opportunities:

Tuesdays | 8:00–9:45 AM + Thursday hybrid coursework

👥 SOC 204Z – Introduction to Sociology
Tuesdays & Thursdays | 2:00–3:50 PM

🌎 GS 106 – Physical Science: Geology
Mondays | 2:00–3:30 PM
Wednesday Labs | 2:00–5:15 PM + Friday hybrid coursework

ONLINE Classes Available as well

Early College is a great opportunity to challenge yourself, experience college-level classes, save money, and get a head start on your education after high school.

Interested students should talk with their Taft counselor and begin the OCCC Early College application process.

Mandatory high school fall sports practices begin today, Monday, August 17!

Below is the practice schedule for the first week of fall sports. Please review the schedule carefully, as some practice times will change on Wednesday, August 19, due to our mandatory Fall Sports Parent/Athlete Meeting. Coaches will notify athletes and families directly regarding any practice time changes for Wednesday.
