The last sister waiting for her forever home 💔🐶

Our sweet girl, Delilah, has watched both her sisters find their forever families… and now she’s the last one still waiting.

This adorable 1 year old pitbull mix came to us as a surrender from a neglected household. From malnourishment and fearful of humans, we’ve helped this poor baby get back onto her paws and become the lovable Delilah we know and love.

Delilah is the most sweetest and cuddly dog you can meet. She can’t control her b***y wiggles at the sight of people and thrives on walks! She takes anyone sitting down as a sign to curl on your lap and give you a million kisses if you let her! We’ve never met a dog so willing to love people so eagerly. 🥺

From what we know, Delilah is good with other dogs and friendly with kids. She will be spayed and up to date on vaccines. She is approximately 40lbs.

Maybe she wasn’t meant to be the first one chosen. Maybe she was meant to be the one who finds the right person. ❤️ The person who sees her picture and stops scrolling. The person who walks into the shelter and feels that little tug on their heart. The person who takes her home and wonders how they ever lived without her.

We can’t promise her when that day will come. But we can promise that when it does, she is going to be so, so loved.

She may be the one who is still sitting here while everyone else gets their happy ending, but her story isn’t over. In fact, we think her best chapters is still waiting to be written. 🖊️🐶

She’s just a sweet girl who wants a family to find her and see an addition to them. She’s the type of dog that will give you ten folds of the love you give her.

What a beautiful way to end this week with 5 adoptions! We said goodbye to some of the best dogs and are so happy we had them in our care, and even happier to see them find their furever homes with the most perfect families! 🐾🦴💗

Staff could not be more thrilled and we are so looking forward to all the updates on all these babies!

This sweet old girl was brought in by our animal control. Found on the 1200 block of Electric. She is around 8-12 years old. Found with no collar but did have an accessory on. She is around 12-15lbs and has no microchip. We believe she is intact.

What an amazing day for our shelter thanks to these wonderful ladies! They dedicated time today to help us around the shelter. We could not be more thankful!

Volunteers are so crucial in the stability of shelters. They help focus on some of the care animals need like walks and play time that allow us staff members to catch up on grunt work.

Please, if you are interested in volunteering please come down to the shelter. Staff and animals will be waiting! 🐾🦴💗🦮

There are some happy endings that just hit a little differently. ❤️🐾

Today, Gus found his forever home and we couldn’t be more grateful to the amazing woman who saw him, opened her heart, and chose to give this sweet senior boy the loving home he so deserved!!!🥹❤️

Gus had been waiting. He is an older gentleman with bumps and lumps, and it would have been easy for someone to look past him. But she didn’t. She looked at Gus, she saw the beautiful soul underneath it all and said, “Yes, he’s the one.” 🐾🏡

We are SO incredibly thankful to you for giving him his happily ever after. Thank you for choosing him, loving him, and giving him the forever family he had been waiting for. We truly cannot thank you enough!! ❤️

And to EVERYONE who shared Gus’s post, commented, tagged friends, and helped get his story seen, THIS is why we share. Your shares mattered. Your engagement mattered. YOU helped Gus find his person. 🙏❤️

There are some cats who come into your life and leave a little paw print on your heart… and then there’s Spirit. 💔🐾
Boy, does his name fit.
Spirit came to us with what looked like an abscess on the side of his face, but we soon discovered it was actually a bot fly. He needed surgery, stitches, and a whole lot of healing. Through all of the discomfort, the confusion, and being stuck here recovering, Spirit never stopped being the sweetest boy. Not once. ❤️‍🩹
He’s been here for a while now, and his little face may have healed, but his heart is starting to hurt.
Spirit has never been much of a talker… until now. 🥺 Now he’s found his voice, and we think he’s trying to tell us something:
“I’m ready to go home.”
He constantly rubs against anyone who comes near him, desperately soaking up every bit of attention he can get. He’s lonely. He wants someone to love him, hold him, spoil him, and finally give him the home he’s been waiting for.
And honestly? He is one of the cutest little faces you’ll ever see. 🥹💕 At around 8 months old, Spirit has his entire life ahead of him and he has SO much love left to give.
He endured surgery and stitches with nothing but sweetness to give in return. Now, after everything he’s been through, we just want him to know what it feels like to be someone’s baby.
Spirit will be neutered and up to date on vaccines before adoption.

Call and come meet Spirit. Come give him a chance, and we have a feeling you’ll leave with your heart completely stolen. 🐾❤️
