Calls are accepted on the Crime Stoppers tipline phone. This phone is a stand-alone instrument which does not provide caller ID and conversations are not recorded. The call taker receiving the information completes the tips information form, makes initial inquiries and then passes the information to the investigating unit.

Tipsters have the option of providing tips online through their computer or tablet. The process is completely secure and anonymous, with IP info stripped so there is no way to track the tipster.

Lincoln-Lancaster County Crimestoppers has partnered with the Lincoln Police Department, the Midwest High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area program, and Houck Transit Advertising to impact drug trafficking in . Advertisements that have been placed inside 55 StarTran buses and on the outside of 5 buses encouraging people to contact Crimestoppers with information. The advertisements are part of a grant funded project to raise awareness about the local effort to identify mid and upper level drug dealers. The goal of the project is to increase drug related tips received by Crimestoppers to identify and investigate those who are trafficking drugs in our community and not to target those who may be suffering from addiction issues. For more than three decades, Crime Stoppers has played an active role in the fight against crime in Lincoln and Lancaster County. Your Lincoln-Lancaster County Crime Stoppers has paid more than $291,000 in rewards to anonymous tipsters. Tips received through the program led to clearing more than 11,320 cases, recovering $5.4 million+ in property, and the seizure of drugs with an estimated street value of $11.2 million since its founding. The success of the program can be directly attributed to the efforts of our local law enforcement and the residents and business owners who care about stopping and preventing crime in our communities. Our continued success can only be achieved through the financial support of our local businesses and community members.

of a $400,000 challenge match fund. It is one special day when everyone in Lincoln is asked to make a
donation showing their support for organizations that contribute so much to our great city.

***UPDATE*** After images were released, we fielded several tips identifying the suspect as 20-year-old Nicole Biehl. She was located at her residence and later arrested for Robbery and Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony. Thank you for your views and shares!

The tattooed young lad in the photos above went into the convenience store, grabbed a 12-pack of beer and headed out the exit without paying for anything. Certainly someone will recognize some of the distinguishing characteristics this guy has and be able to give us that information HERE!
