As if it wasn't ridiculous enough that one can't drink until the age of 21, now there's a push to prevent one from purchasing a firearm until 21. If an 18 year old isn't mature enough to drink, or purchase a gun, then they shouldn't be expected to be mature enough to deal with all the responsibilities of being an adult. Fine, don't let me buy a gun, but then don't expect me to: register for the draft, vote, pay taxes, report for jurry duty, or be tried as an adult in a court of law.
If I can go to war, I'm an adult. If I'm an adult, I have all the rights, responsibilities, and privileges of a 30 year old. The government can't pick and choose what I am, and am not old enough for.

After the recent mosque bombing in Egypt, where 300 innocent people died, Egypt needs to put stricter su***de bombing laws on the books so this won't ever happen again. Like limit the amount of casualties you can cause, and make sure they can pass a background check before they can buy a su***de vest. These are common sense reforms that Egypt needs to take... unless of course Egypt just wants people TO DIE!! - same logic used by liberals for mass shootings, yet it's strange that when such a tragic event occurs in Egypt, there is no outcry from them....

This should've happened a few months ago when this occurred but UNL is finally taking steps to remove bigoted and hateful people from its faculty!

Can somebody please explain this logic to me:
A major complaint from the left, is that the cost for attending a college or university is too high. Frankly, I feel many conservatives would agree. Yet, here I am, a college student in the very very VERY liberal world of academia, and I, like many others, find myself REQUIRED to buy additional programs such as LearningCatalytics, and TopHat. These additional programs have cost me $50 to $120 each, and that is just for a subscription that I will have to renew in a later semester should a professor require it. Not to mention, in my experience, they have been very buggy, and the Prof can't even figure out how to use them, so they go untouched.
One can make the argument, that they are "tools that benefit the learning process." (which sounds pretty good on paper) However, if you actually use the thing for more than 30 seconds, you realize that most of them are simply used to take attendance, and an occasional quiz in class. Which doesn't sound terrible, until you realize that Canvas, the online program UNL students already get included in our tuition, DOES THE SAME DAMN THING!
Yet here I am, shelling out tens of thousands for tuition, hundreds on books I hardly use, and then hundreds more on required programs that serve little to no additional function, all while I turn on the news, and hear another complaint about over priced college, and how awful student loans are.
