Congratulations to Captain Dean Delany on retiring after 30 years serving the City of Lincoln community. Dean began his career with in 1996 as a firefighter paramedic. He was promoted to Captain in 2006. He was assigned to T7 in 2015, moved to Station 12 when the truck was relocated in 2020, and has been on T12C shift for the last 6 years. Thank you for your dedicated service Captain Delany! Enjoy your retirement!

🚒EXPLORE LFR-Job Shadow Day🚒
Fall Registration Now Open!

Lincoln Fire & Rescue will hold the next Job Shadow Day on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. The EXPLORE LFR Event is geared for high school students (ages 16-19) interested in pursuing a firefighting career. The day includes hands-on rig demo experiences, learn actual EMS skills with ’s EMT’s and paramedics. Physical fitness agility activities, and Q&A session.
