We are less than a month away from the 2nd annual Lincoln Firefighters Local 3092 5k!

‼️PLEASE READ CAREFULLY‼️

If you are 12 years of age or younger you get to participate for free! You will have to register the day prior or day of the race. If you would like a Tshirt you will have to purchase that separately by June 1st as it is not included. You will receive a medal, goodie bag and Loco drink.

For the adults when signing up prior to June 1st you will receive a race a Tshirt, metal, goodie bag and a Loco drink. If you register after June 1st you will not receive a Tshirt.

Anyone who does not want to participate but would like a Tshirt you can purchase a shirt up until June 1st!

We would like to note this is also a kid, stroller, dog friendly event. We do ask if you bring a dog they are to be well behaved and on a leash at all times or we will ask you to leave for the safety of all participants.

🚒This event is by the fire house so please be aware of the sirens, loud noises and trucks coming in and out of the station.

🦺If you would like to help volunteer for the race by passing out waters, directing the racers at corners please let us know.

There will be check in the day prior or the morning of the race.
Race morning check in will start at 7am, day prior will be all day at the fire house.

Congratulations to Lincoln Firefighters Jayden Graham and Cameron Anderson on their graduation from the Illinois Fire Service Institute Academy!

IFSI Academy is a 7 week, strenuous program that trains candidates in all aspects of firefighting. Graham and Anderson will continue training at IFSI for a few more weeks before returning to their shifts.

Job well done gentlemen!

A few week ago some of our members went over to IFSI in Champaign to get their Rope Awareness and Operation certification. This class dove into tying appropriate knots on ropes, building/using haul systems, and repelling. After this class they are able to move on to a 2 week rope technician class that will dive deeper into more advanced haul systems, repelling, rescuing victims.

We currently have
10members certified with Rope operation
4 members certified with Rope technician
