💚 Meet Mary — a current Big, BBBS Board Member, and proud member of !

When asked to describe the impact of BBBS in one word, Mary chose “transformative.”

Mary first saw that impact while working as a child welfare caseworker, where she connected the youth she worked with to BBBS.

“I thought about one of my kids who was on the waitlist and realized there was one way I could help. I signed up to be a Big — and I’ve been matched with my Little ever since.”

Happy New Match Monday! Little Diego and Big Logan were matched in early August and are excited to explore new activities together while also taking part in many of their shared interests, such as biking, sports, and creative activities. 🚴

Logan is also excited to help Diego with his goal of improving his reading skills. 📖 For their first activity, these two kicked a soccer ball around for a bit before grabbing some food together at Chipotle. Sounds like a fun first outing to us! 🙂

Happy New Match Monday! 🎉 Little Oakley was matched with Nichole in late July, and they were both excited to get started! While meeting, they discovered a shared love for arts and crafts, swimming, and museums! Oakley quickly warmed up to Nichole and shared photos of her sugar gliders, and they talked enthusiastically about how they would like to spend their first outings together. 💚

They decided to attend the Lancaster County Super Fair, where they had a fabulous time getting to know one another. 🎡 They already have additional plans to get together to see “Newsies,” a part of the Movies in the Park series by Lincoln Parks! 🎥
