The Salt Mine Food Closet The Salt Mine is a public charity, offering emergency services to the city of Lincoln and surrounding communities. The Salt mine is a Faith Based Charity.

Our main charitable activity is our food closet, presently offering emergency food to over one thousand families in Lincoln each month. Our main charitable activity at this time is to enhance and improve the lives of those in need in our community by providing food assistance. We desire that no senior, family, or child who needs food goes hungry in Lincoln or Sheridan, California.

ogram offers a variety of opportunities for food distribution so no family needs to go without food if they only avail themselves of our programs. We have a fully volunteer staffed Food Closet which offers monthly Pantry Boxes, weekly USDA Emergency Food Assistance and three Fresh Food Giveaways each week.

Our Thrift Store helps to fund our Food Closet and other programs while also providing the community with an affordable option for clothing, furniture, and a wide variety of household goods.

Other programs at The Salt Mine include Homeless Assistance and our Youth programs, seeking to equip students for success.
