Happy Boss’s Day to Lighthouse Executive Director, Bill Michener!

Bill’s story with Lighthouse began in 1990, when he was one of the original Lighthouse youth. What started as a place where he found support, encouragement, and people who believed in him has come full circle. Today, he leads the very organization that helped shape his future.

Bill knows firsthand the difference Lighthouse can make in a young person’s life, and that experience is at the heart of everything he does. His dedication to our youth, his belief in their potential, and his commitment to making sure they have someone in their corner are what make his leadership so special.

Thank you, Bill, for never forgetting where it all began and for continuing to make a difference in the lives of young people every day.

Yesterday, we took a fantastic group of youth to Holmes Lake to volunteer with Big Gumdrop Outdoors! Lighthouse youth picked up trash, took a walk around the lake, and talked about the importance of getting outside. Thank you to for providing s’mores and for sharing more about your program! 🍁❤️

When Lincoln gets behind its young people, good things happen.
