Pam Dingman for Lancaster County Engineer Pam Dingman is running for Lancaster County Engineer, and is the current Lancaster County Engineer, with a 20-year career as a practicing engineer.

Lancaster County Engineer Pam Dingman has announced that she will seek a second term as County Engineer in the 2018 elections. Dingman was appointed to the position in 2013 and elected in 2014.

“Serving the citizens of Lancaster County is an honor and a responsibility I continue to take very seriously,” Dingman said. “My focus will continue to be on three primary areas of this office: moderniza

tion, efficiency and pavement.”

During Dingman’s current term she created a pavement condition rating system which is used to prioritize asphalt overlays. In addition, she also created a pipe culvert inspection system and a box culvert inspection system. These systems enable the County Engineer to focus on replacing the worst pipe and box culverts first. The county engineer’s office has also implemented the use of a GPS radio system that does not require a monthly data fee. This system has allowed the engineers office to choose routes efficiently and save fuel. In addition, safety features of this system have provided exact locations of workers in emergency situations. Under Dingman’s term Lancaster County experienced the worst flooding since 1908. Dingman’s organizational leadership and management enabled the county quickly repair important roads and bridges.

“Efficiency is essential to ensuring Lancaster County taxpayers receive the best value from their tax dollars. New paving projects are key to ensuring our county roads are as safe as possible,” Dingman said. Dingman is a licensed professional engineer with an entrepreneurial sprit who has a 25-year career as a practicing civil engineer in the private and public sectors. She has extensive experience as a project engineer, project manager and CEO of engineering companies. Dingman has a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She is the recipient of several prestigious professional and leadership awards including the Society of Women Engineers Entrepreneur Award in 2013, University of Nebraska Young Alumni of the Year in 2008, and ABWA Top Ten Business Women in America in 2006.
