November 2-6: The Ponca Tribe Diabetes program will be holding a Lunch and Learn for diabetes education in conjunction with the weekly Elder meals at each office location.
November 13: The Diabetes Program will hold a brunch celebrating the resilience of our Native community at 10 am at the Ralston Transit Building (5701 S. 85th Circle, Omaha). Please RSVP by November 6 to Crystal Mundorf.
November 17: Join the Ponca Tribe Diabetes program for our Diabetes Class Kickoff Lunch and Learn from 12-1 pm at the Norfolk Gym Cafeteria (1800 Syracuse, Norfolk).

Do you struggle with alcohol or opioid use? Did you know there are medications that can help with dependency? The Ponca Tribe of Nebraska’s Behavioral Health Department has implemented a Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program to help people suffering from alcohol and opioid dependency.
The MAT program is a treatment approach that uses medications in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies to treat alcohol and opioid dependency.

The Ponca Tribe of Nebraska is excited to announce the Groundbreaking Ceremony for our new Ponca Health Services clinic in Omaha Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at 1 pm.

Join us as we take the next step forward in our mission to provide holistic, comprehensive care for the Native American community. "This groundbreaking is a monumental day for the Ponca Tribe and for the more than 115 tribal nations whose members walk through our clinic doors," said Chairwoman Candace Schmidt.

There will be a brief ceremony, followed by refreshments. Parking is available on the southwest side of the cul-de-sac. Transportation from the parking area to the groundbreaking site will be available for our Elders.

Obesity Prevention classes starting in October!
The Community Health Worker program is excited to offer a six-week Obesity Prevention Program at EACH location, starting the week of October 19. Join us twice a week for interactive, hands-on programming, designed to help you make simple, realistic changes to improve your health.

Additionally, participants that attend at least 10 of the 12 classes will qualify for a bonus incentive. Call now to register! Spots are limited!
