The Library needs your help Lincoln! You may have seen the flyers around town!
This year for Summer Reading Kickoff event, we are having an outdoor event on the square. This event is free to all to attend.
What we need is trucks and businesses. If you are able to join us, please fill out the form we have to join the event!
The Lincoln Public Library invites families and community members to celebrate the start of summer at our Annual Summer Reading Kickoff Event! This free, family friendly gathering marks the beginning of our 2026 Summer Reading Program, themed “Unearth a Story.”
Last year, more than 100 children and their families joined us to sign up and start their reading adventures, and we can’t wait to see even more of you this year! The kickoff will feature a Touch-A-Truck experience and two exciting Raptor Encounter sessions presented by Jurassic Experience.
We also invite local businesses to take part in this special day. You can participate in one or both of the following ways:
Bring a Vehicle or Equipment: Join our Touch-A-Truck lineup! Share your truck, tractor, or equipment with local children and families.
Space provided will be on a first come basis for the Truck sign-up.
Host an Information Table or Booth: Connect with the community by sharing information about your business. Tables may feature handouts, games, giveaways, or sign-up sheets. Please note that sales are not permitted during the event. Participants are responsible for providing their own tables and setup materials.
Businesses that bring a truck are welcome to host an information table as well.
Additionally, if your business would like to sponsor or donate a prize to support the Summer Reading program, please indicate this on your participation form. We will contact you to coordinate details.
