Like most fire companies in the area we had a very busy day yesterday. Our day started with assisting Glassport with a 2 alarm fire at 11:17am. As we were clearing from there shortly after 2pm, we responded to a broken utility pole and downed wires by our station. About 4 hours later the wind damage really started and we responded to 7 additional calls in our boro related to the winds, including a commercial fire alarm, a brush fire from downed lines, and multiple trees/wires down.
Our Saturday started early at 3:35a with Tanker 1 and 2 responding to Jefferson for a house fire.
Please use caution in the area while the utility companies work and remember to stay away from downed wires.
