In North Backyardistan, we are officially stateless. We sometimes puzzle over the system of government operated by our American friends.
We understand that there are elections today for the 435 Congress members, and some of the 100 U.S. senators. We also understand that this may be a presidential election year.
But that accounts for fewer than 600 people. When do you Americans hold elections for all of your other rulers, like the 2.95 million federal employees and the 19.6 million state and local government employees?
