The Fiscal Assistant handles most of the daily tasks in the fiscal office and is responsible for assisting the Fiscal Manager with operational efficiencies. The Fiscal Assistant is the responsible party for entering data for accounts payable, payroll, and numerous miscellaneous bookkeeping processes. Furthermore, the Fiscal Assistant must maintain an in-depth knowledge of the Fiscal Policy and all organizational policies and processes that relate to the fiscal office. In the absence of the Fiscal Manager, the Fiscal Assistant must exhaust all avenues and exhort critical thinking before reporting to the Fiscal Officer.

Meet Sabrina, a mom and wife who loves taking care of her family.

She understands that personal development, budgeting, and finances are important when raising a family. She has been working with one of our personal development coaches through several "milestone" activities while learning new skills and setting goals. Sabrina has a new full time job, a budget that works and a new perspective on life. As she completes the milestone activities, she becomes eligible for rental assistance.

"Having a personal development coach and someone I can reach out to, and someone reaching out to me to check in, has helped me stick to my goals. I want to thank the Hand Up Project and my personal development coach for providing these services to the community and myself. I hope that everyone in need reaches out and is able to find the help that they need in whatever area of life they need it in."

I'd like to share a rather unusual free resource...parenting tips bumper stickers. Advancing Parenting, a Camarillo CA nonprofit organization, produces parenting tips bumper stickers and makes them available at no cost to schools, organizations, agencies, clinics, businesses, and individuals. There are fifty-one in a set and each one communicates a parenting behavior or practice generally recognized as supporting the healthy development of children. Just one will be read thousands of times!

Bumper stickers are a unique and powerful way to educate everyone about parenting. At stoplights drivers and passengers point, smile, and nod. Conversations start up and often a phone is used to take a pic of the sticker right at the stoplight. Presumably, they are being shared on social media. It's wonderful to see!

Sets of the stickers can be put in holders and placed on counters and tables so folks can select one or more for their cars. Visit www.advancingparenting.org to order this free resource. Use a computer...our website is not optimized for phones. Please share.
