🫧 Keeping us clean 🫧

Today, two staff members from the Sangamon County Health Department came into our classroom to talk all about hand washing 🧼👐🧼

We talked about how to wash our hands ✋, why we wash, and even did an experiment!

The kids were given some lotion that acted like germs when rubbed in. Then they were asked to wash their hands and stick them under a special light to see if they still had germs 🤢! The kids could see exactly where they missed while hand washing 🔎!

This helped the students understand that even though we cannot see germs 🦠, they could still be there!

❤️ “Head Start is like a family to us!”

We’re so grateful for the families who trust CAPCIL Head Start to be part of their child’s journey. One of our Head Start parents shared:

“We stay with Head Start because they are very convenient with us, the staff is amazing, they worked with us at home first, which was so wonderful! It is very easy to communicate with the staff at Head Start. They are very good at giving out calendars for the month, homework for my child to work on at home and many other little other things that we love! Head Start is like a family to us!”
