Here is the agenda for the Planning & Zoning meeting on June 16 at 6:00 PM.
This meeting will include the public hearing on a potential moratorium for data centers. This hearing is not specifically about approving or denying any particular project. Rather, it is about whether the county should place a temporary pause on data center permits while regulations are reviewed and developed.
There will also be a public hearing on proposed livestock regulations, as well as a hearing regarding the siting of a subdivision.
County regulations affect everyone. These public hearings are the opportunity for citizens to formally provide input and be part of the process. Whether you agree, disagree, or simply want to learn more, I encourage you to attend and participate.
It will be a full evening, but public involvement is important. Respectful participation leads to better discussions, and knowledgeable citizens make for stronger communities.
Due to anticipated attendance, the meeting has been moved to the District Courtroom on the 3rd Floor of the Gage County Courthouse to allow for additional seating. Signage will be posted throughout the courthouse directing attendees to the meeting location.
