🚨 SCAM ALERT – JURY DUTY PHONE SCAM 🚨

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office is once again receiving reports of fraudulent phone calls targeting local residents.

Scammers are falsely claiming to be representatives of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office or the United States Department of Justice Civil Process Division. Callers are telling residents they failed to appear for jury duty, that a warrant has been issued for their arrest, and that they must pay a bond to avoid being arrested.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office wants to remind everyone while residents may be contacted regarding legitimate jury duty obligations:

❌ We will NEVER demand payment over the phone.
❌ We will NEVER direct you to pay a bond through a kiosk or similar method.
❌ Do NOT provide personal, banking, or financial information to these callers.

If you receive one of these calls, hang up immediately.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office would like to congratulate Deputy Grant and Deputy Maaks on successfully graduating from the Macon County Law Enforcement Training Center!

We are especially proud to recognize Deputy Grant for her outstanding achievements during the academy. Deputy Grant earned the Academic Award, Fi****ms Award, and the Tad Williams Award—an incredible accomplishment that reflects her hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence.

Both deputies have worked hard to reach this milestone, and we are proud to welcome them into their next chapter of serving the citizens of Logan County.
