Traffic Collision with Extrication

At approximately 4:00 p.m., Lincoln Firefighters responded to a two vehicle traffic collision at Moore Rd. and S. Dowd Rd. One patient was trapped inside a vehicle and required extrication by firefighters. The patient was transported by AMR to Sutter Roseville.

This morning Lincoln Firefighters responded with CAL FIRE NEU to a bobtail tractor overturned on Highway 65 near Nicolaus Road.

The driver was transported by AMR with minor injuries. Crews also contained a diesel fuel leak caused by a punctured fuel tank.

A hidden fire can start in the most unexpected places.

Lincoln Firefighters responded to a residence in Catta Verdera after a neighbor noticed smoke coming from the backyard and called 911. Crews found that a potted plant had caught fire from an unknown cause and slowly spread into a second-story patio support pillar. After opening the pillar, firefighters exposed and extinguished the smoldering structural members, preventing further damage.

This incident is a great reminder that fires don't always start with obvious flames. If you see or smell something unusual, don't wait call 911. Early notification can make all the difference.
