Root Crew wrapped up the summer last Friday with the chock-full celebration!

The afternoon was filled with thoughtful parting gifts , a great game of kickball, impromptu fairy village, a salsa-off, and reflections on the year.

We’re looking forward to seeing many of the young people back on the farm in a few weeks for the Academic Year. For alumni continuing on, we can’t wait to see the changes you continue to make in your communities. You’ll always have a place at TFP! 💚

Shindig is back in just one month on Saturday, September 26!

This year for The Food Project's harvest festival fundraiser we’re keeping the fan favorites from last year — music, Mali drum circle, face painting, yoga — and adding even more!

Back to our roots in Dorchester! Our team spent the day on The Food Project’s urban farm helping tend to and harvest fresh produce that will nourish the neighborhood. We’re always grateful for the opportunity to support this vibrant community space that plays an essential role in advancing a more equitable food system.

The final week of Seed Crew is always bittersweet here at The Food Project — so we say goodbye with Family Feast. It’s a chance for the more than 100 teens we hire each summer to show off everything they’ve learned — and grown — over the summer.

Shindig is an intergenerational celebration, full of music, dancing, delicious food, a beer and cider garden, a pick-your-own pumpkin patch and more!

The Food Project is hiring a Director of Youth Development & Network Learning!

In this role you would establish strategies for youth development at The Food Project and external learning opportunities. You will work closely with the regional teams to implement all youth development and community experiences.

The Food Project is seeking someone with at least 10 years of professional experience in youth development, community organizing, or sustainable food systems programming, with at least 3 years explicitly in a senior team management or directorial role.

This is a full-time hybrid role with regional offices based in Boston, Lincoln, and Lynn, MA.
