We’re excited to welcome Sophia to Visiting Angels! Sophia is a UNL student studying Animal Science and Pre-Veterinary Medicine and will be completing her gerontology practicum with us, focusing on the benefits of pet therapy for older adults. ❤️🐶

Throughout her practicum, Sophia will explore the human-animal bond and how interactions with animals can support connection, companionship, and overall well-being for older adults.

With a passion for animals and an interest in the meaningful connection they can create with people, Sophia is excited to put what she’s learning into action. And, of course, she’ll have a pretty great four-legged partner helping her along the way. 🐶💙
