🎆 ALL FIREWORKS ARE ILLEGAL IN UNINCORPORATED PLACER COUNTY 🎆
Happy 4th of July week! We want to remind residents and visitors to celebrate safely and responsibly. In unincorporated Placer County, all fireworks are illegal, including those labeled “safe and sane.”
Due to Placer County’s wildfire risk, fireworks of all types are prohibited in areas including the town of Loomis, the cities of Auburn and Colfax, and unincorporated communities such as Penryn, Newcastle, North Auburn, Granite Bay, Meadow Vista, Foresthill, Tahoe City and Kings Beach.
Anyone caught violating the fireworks ban could be charged with a misdemeanor and face a fine of up to $2,000 per violation.
Residents within the city limits of Roseville, Rocklin and Lincoln should check with their local municipalities for rules regarding legal fireworks use during the designated Fourth of July period.
Help us reduce wildfire risk and keep celebrations safe!
