We asking for tenants to start paying your rent, effective today, at United Community Bank which is located at 2210 Woodlawn Road, Lincoln, IL. United Community Bank is located right by Wal-Mart.

The Logan County Housing Authority will be opening our Section 8 Rental Assistance Waiting List on Monday, March 1, 2021, at 1:00 P.M. Applications will be accepted from elderly, disabled, single-member households and families. Applicants must be eighteen years of age or older to apply, or an emancipated minor.

Applications can be picked up at the Housing Authority’s office located at 1028 North College Street, Lincoln, IL 62656 or by calling (217)732-7776.

Placement on the waiting list is based on a local preference and the date the completed application is received. Incomplete applications will not be processed. To qualify for Section 8 Rental Assistance, gross annual income cannot exceed the following amounts for the appropriate household size:

Logan County Housing Authority has a new staff member. His name is Matt Jones and he has joined our Maintenance Department.

Matt has a daughter and they live in Lincoln. He enjoys sports, especially the Cubs and Green Bay Packers.

In his spare time, Matt enjoys listening to music, enjoys all sports and likes to travel.

We are pleased to have Matt on board with Logan County Housing Authority.

Habitat for Humanity is searching for a family for a Habitat House that will be built sometime in 2020.

Your total family income should not be much more than the following:

* One Person: $28,920
* Two Persons: $33,060
* Three Persons: $37,200
* Four Persons: $41,280
* Five Persons: $44,640

Please note, that these Income Guidelines are subject to change.

To qualify, you MUST have a housing need. For example: inadequate plumbing, poor heating, leaks in your roof, overcrowding, unsanitary conditions or unsafe.

In addition, you are not able to obtain adequate housing through traditional homeownership (financing) or renting without being severely cost-burdened.
