Weighing in around the same as a penny, the hummingbird's wings can flutter about 50 times per second. Ruby-throated hummingbirds can often be found in backyards from May through September, feeding on nectar before migrating south.

Happy National Hummingbird Day!

Keep your eyes on the sky tonight!

August’s full moon, known as the Sturgeon Moon, is about to put on a beautiful show. Named for the sturgeon fish that Native Americans traditionally found easier to catch this time of year, this month’s moon will take on a stunning coppery glow during a partial lunar eclipse.

Look up tonight. You won’t want to miss it!
