It might be a little chilly to spend time outside today, but the Library Learning Garden is officially open for your use! The garden is open for public use during daylight hours unless it is being used for a program.

🪏 This Sunday, May 3, get free nutrient-rich soil at the Compost Give Back Event from 9 am-12 pm in the Annex Parking Lot (4 Indian Creek Rd, Lincolnshire). Bring your own 5-gallon buckets (20 gallons max).

🌸 The Library Learning Garden opens on Friday, May 1!

What does this mean for you?
🪏 Pick up free compost at the Compost Give Back Event on May 3 from 9 am–12 pm (sign up for a reminder at the link in the comments)
☀️ Bring your office outside and work in the garden using free high-speed Wi-Fi access
🧺 Pack a lunch to enjoy after Storytime and let the kids run around and play
🗓️ Watch the library calendar for all ages outdoor programming coming to the garden beginning in June

Thank you to these adorable Girl Scouts for caring for the garden today! 👩‍🌾 Did you know that you can volunteer to adopt the garden for a week? These volunteers come by every day on their own schedule to water and care for our plants. All the produce harvested is donated to the Vernon Township Food Pantry.
