I am very thankful for all the volunteers, donations and prayers during our search for Salem. Many of you donated countless hours, equipment, food and water. The citizens of Lincoln County and surrounding counties pulled together during this search for Salem. I would also like to thank all the surrounding counties, the state agencies and all the volunteer groups that assisted. I was very impressed how everyone worked together during this search.

FYI- Did you receive this on your email or text message? This is another SCAM that has surfaced in Lincoln County. Look closely, It has the Georgia State Seal but at the bottom of the page is the address for the court in Missouri. Also, there is no St. Louis County in the State of Georgia. Clay Smith, Sheriff

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office sends condolences to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and the family of Steve Morris. Myself, Chief Deputy John Cook, Investigator Chris Adcox, Deputy Aaron Youngblood and Deputy Brandon Cooper worked with Major Morris for many years. He will truly be missed.
