Happy Memorial Day! Let us remember our fallen veterans and the sacrifices they made for our town and country. We are lucky to have such a wonderful town to live in, filled with incredible people.

On behalf of all the fire fighters in Lincolnville, I want to send a giant thank you to Eddington and Holden Fire for coming down and covering our station while we attended the funeral of Andrew Cross. This action speaks volumes.

As many of you know it has been a long week. Normally, we would have a work party to clean the trucks for the Memorial Day parade. This year, we haven’t had time to do our usual clean and polish. We figured people would understand. The Holden and Eddington crew took it upon themselves to clean all of our trucks and our station! This resonated deeply, they more than covered our station and we are forever grateful.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out, sent cards, and made donations to the Lincolnville Fire Department. We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of community support.

Donations will be used to help fire fighters and EMTs affected by the fire at Robbin’s Lumber.

Donations can be deposited in any of the “fill the boot” drop areas at local stores around town, or by check to “Lincolnville Community Foundation” and mailed to Lincolnville Volunteer Fire Department, c/o Lincolnville Town Office, 493 Hope Rd, Lincolnville, ME 04849 🙏

Other ways you can help:

With officials warning about scammers exploiting the tragedy, the Midcoast Villager is maintaining a list of verified campaigns.

Welcome Home Brother. It’s good to see you.
