Anyone know where the Fire Department could get a good deal on a jump castle / bounce house? Looking to plan an event in October . Thanks

Being prepared means more than just packing an emergency supply kit. Staying informed is one of the best ways to protect yourself and your family. Keep up with local weather forecasts, understand the difference between a hurricane watch and a warning, and know how a storm could impact your area. https://hurricane.sc/prepare

Hurricane hazards don't stop at the forecast cone. Dangerous conditions such as strong winds, storm surge, flooding, and tornadoes can occur well outside the storm's projected path.

That's why hurricane preparedness isn't just for coastal communities. Everyone should understand the potential risks and be ready to take action if a storm threatens.

WATCH vs. WARNING: Know the Difference.
A WATCH means conditions are possible within 48 hours. Make preparations now and stay alert.
A WARNING means conditions are expected within 36 hours. Finalize any preparations and follow instructions from local officials.

08/14/2026

Good morning! Dangerous heat is expected once again today. An Extreme Heat Warning is in effect for the coastal counties from 11 AM to 8 PM, while a Heat Advisory is in place for the remaining inland areas during the same timeframe. 🌡️🥵
