Thankful for the Thanks🥰

Visit Lindale is overwhelmed to receive such thoughtful and personal thanks from our Lindale City Manager, Carolyn Caldwell. We received this letter from her today. . .

Dear Visit Lindale Team and City of Lindale Staff,

As City Manager, I want to personally thank and congratulate each of you for your phenomenal work on this year’s “Christmas in Lindale” presentation. Seong MacLaren, Jessie Prestridge, Debra Cole, Kelly Oexman, and Dale Willis-- your vision and creativity to execute this event from the ground up year after year is second to none. I know what you each do to make this event a beautiful reality for our community. I am so proud of your hard work and tireless efforts. Our city is truly blessed by each of you.

I would also like to thank our City of Lindale Staff and Police Department for your collaboration and help. The City’s offering of Picker’s Pavilion as a gift to our citizens, friends and neighbors could not happen without each of you. From hauling décor to hanging lights, you all play a crucial role in this event. Thank you for every act of service done for our community.

I am both pleased and proud to invite the world to “Visit Lindale” for Christmas in Lindale. Nowhere in East Texas can families find a more beautiful display of Christmas. It is a joy to welcome the community to our “home” for the holidays.

Thank you again for all you do,

Carolyn Caldwell
Manager, City of Lindale

About Us

The primary objective of the Lindale Economic Development Corporation (Lindale EDC) is to recruit industrial companies to the development-ready Lindale Industrial Park. Our main target industry is distribution due to our geographic location, the proximity to Interstate 20 & the 1.6 million square foot Target Distribution Center that employs more than 650 people. Additional industry targets we strive to attract are advanced manufacturing and back office operations companies. Currently, the Park is home to a 163,000 square foot FedEx Ground distribution facility and Sanderson Farms is constructing their 70,000 square foot administrative offices and hatchery on 17 acres. Features include: 40-foot concrete roads, 12-inch and 8-inch water lines serve all parcels in the Park; City of Lindale water, 8-inch wastewater lines serve all parcels in the Park; City of Lindale sewer, 3-Phase electric service, a 4-inch natural gas line serves the Park; CenterPoint Energy and AT&T provides fiber optic lines in the Park.

The second objective is to assist with certain targeted infrastructure projects necessary to promote or develop new business enterprises. The Lindale EDC accomplishes this by partnering on specific projects with the City of Lindale. Recently, we completed an Infrastructure Master Plan for the East Centennial Boulevard/I-20 North Parallel Corridor in advance of TXDOT’s construction to realign the Interstate 20 on and off ramps at US 69 and northside, westbound frontage roads. We are marketing the Plan and property to developers, brokers, retail establishments and restaurants, to attract additional businesses to increase the property tax base and sales tax revenue for Lindale. We will partner with the City, on a case-by-case basis, as needed and after significant evaluation, to assist with building infrastructure to service the area.

The third objective is to assist those who seek to locate or expand a business in Lindale, or build a development, by providing information, data and introductions. We share local wisdom about the market and, we keep an up-to-date, comprehensive list of land and buildings for sale or lease for small, large, established, and start-up businesses. Extensive demographics, zoning, traffic counts, employment/unemployment, and the trade area gap analysis are just a few examples of the data we provide. We also share contact information and personal introductions to City staff who will assist with ordinances, regulations, and permits throughout the pre-development and construction phases.
